If the medical institutions know about the healing powers of this drug then they have studied it at some point in time. If it does do what they claim it does why not make it, not announce that they are using it, and sell it for the same price as their standard treatments and rob us blind?

On top of that, the medical industry will always have business. I pretty sure the oil doesn't reset broken bones, remove tonsil's and appendix's, replace eye's that were genetically bad in the first place, and place in pacemakers for genetically weak hearts.

You don't need to patent the plant. I can make my own beer, but the beer companies are still in business. I can make my own tobacco, but the tobacco companies are still in business. Plus you've got to figure that the majority of the population is either clueless or too lazy. I have to take medication for high bad cholesterol (thank you dad for the wonderful genes). I haven't got a clue what's in it, I just know that it's lowered the bad cholesterol and raised the good. And I certainly do not plan to gather the materials myself to make a batch. Most people do not have a degree in chemistry and biology.
